A transom for an interior door is simply a decorative glass or wood panel over the top of an interior door. For example, a glass transom may be 1lite (with one piece of glass), or possibly a 3 lite (glass with three sections), over the top of your door. Glass can be clear glass, or one of our many decorative glass options. A transom can be made for our interior doors for a unit over a door and a sidelite, or combinations of doors, and sidelites. The possibilities are almost endless. Inquire about your options from one of door specialists at InteriorDoors.Com We are open Monday – Friday 8:00 – 4:30 P.M. EST and you can call toll free at 800-772-0314 to go over you options.

3. For Cherry Doors, where perfect color is wanted, with no variation, Add 40% to pricing, due to need to hand sort all the materials. Natural cherry will have some variation in color and grain, even though this is not considered a detriment to the grade of the lumber. This is the reason that cherry furniture is normally finished very dark, to cover up this natural variation. We try to minimize our variation in the standard cherry doors, but some may occur.
Below is a custom sized 8 panel ash door, our style #5512 . This door is a standard width, but only six feet (72″) high, since it goes under a beam in a basement.
